DEVOTIONALS FROM PASTOR MIKE

December 23

Hosea 4:6

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge." Hosea 4:6.

God has made himself known through general and special revelation. We see His power on display throughout His creation. Yet sadly some close their eyes to God's invitation. However if they choose to receive the knowledge of the gospel they will not be destroyed

but have life everlasting

December 22

Ezekiel 3:17

"Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel." Ezekiel 3:17.

As watchmen we are called to sound the alarm of truth to a world that is deceived by lies. We live in a world that says evil is good and good is evil. Therefore continue to be a courageous and loving watchmen preparing the way of the Lord.

December 21

Lamentations 2:17

"The Lord has done what He purposed; He has fulfilled His word." Lamentations 2:17.

We can be grateful today that what God has purposed, He will bring to pass. The promises that He has made He will always keep. I encourage you to take a promise found in God's word and memorize it and text it to someone else!

December 17

Jeremiah 29:23

"is not My word like a fire?" says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?" Jeremiah 29:23.

The fire of the Word of God refines and burns away the things that need to go. The hammer of the Word breaks up the hardness of our hearts. The hammer of the Word is also a tool that

God uses to build us up.

December 16

Jeremiah 15:20

"I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; and they will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and deliver you," says the Lord." Jeremiah 15:20.

Although you face spiritual opposition, the Lord promises to strengthen you in the battle. You are not alone in this fight, the Lord is on your side. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Do not fear, you are more than a conqueror!

December 11

Isaiah 64:8

"now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand." Isaiah 64:8.

The Lord is molding and shaping you into what He has called you to be. Don't be fearful of the work He is doing even if it seems painful. Remember that the hands that are molding you are nail pierced hands. You are being fashioned by perfect love. God's plans

for you are always good.

December 10

Isaiah 29:13

"Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me."

Isaiah 29:13.

You know, It is possible to say all the right things and not have the right heart. If your heart seems distant from the Lord, ask Him to alter the location of your heart. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.

1 Chronicles 14:10

"And David inquired of God." 1 Chronicles 14:10.

It’s always a good idea to seek the Lord for guidance. The best place to find His direction is in the Bible. Be sure to start your day with the Word of God. It will bless you.
